Basically, I need my LCD HDTV to be a fully functional LCD monitor with audio as well.
I'm going to pick up a 26" or 32" Samsung LNT model HDTV. It has the following ports: -2 HDMI ports -2 Composite (AV) -2 S-Video -1 PC input (D-sub) <-- I think it may have to do with this based on the name.. -2 Component (Y/Pb/Pr) I need to connect it to my laptop which has the following relevant ports: -15-pin RGB (VGA?) -S-Video I need there to be audio and visual obviously, and the picture should be good. What is the best way to go around doing this, and what cables do I need to buy? Thanks ahead of time. Let me know if u guys need to know more information about my Laptop or HDTV. |

the resolution will suck and you probably wont be able to play poker on it. but basicly you need a vga cable that goes from laptop to tv and then plug in an audio cable from the headphone jack on your laptop to your tv. there will be an audio input next to the pc input.
i should say you wont be able to multitable. is the tv 720 or 1080? |

I've heard there are other ways to do this to get almost perfect picture and sound quality.
Something to do with getting VGA --> DVI --> HDMI cables or something.. ???? |
