Re: AKo
hand 1 i just call the flop and raise safe turns, and fold nasty turns. as you played it, fold the turn.
hand 2 call flop, fold turn ui, is standard. i dunno what raising accomplishes there. |

Re: AKo
Why fold turn in the first hand?

Re: AKo
what hands that bb, a tag player, capped pf, bet/3bet the flop, and led the turn, are we still ahead of?

Re: AKo
"no reads"
but i see your point, it's just that the pot is 14 to 1 and he may not have AA or A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] right? |

Re: AKo
well yes it says no reads but with those 14/9 stats we can infer that the guy is a tag/tight player for sure.
any heart beats us, aa beats us (on the turn, when i want to fold), the only reasonable things we beat are black qq and black jj, and given the postflop action i just don't see the guy having those. |

[ QUOTE ]
hand 2: fold turn ui [/ QUOTE ] getting 10:1 + some implied odds. prob not reverse dominated w/no other paint cards out there. passive player behind us not likely to raise. possibility that bettor has worse A or AK. meh on turn fold. Q: if turn was not a T but paired a small card (like a 3) then we're still folding? |

Re: AKo
Hand#1: suppose we put villain on AK, KK+ after flop 3-bet. Against that range we do not have the equity to call down for a split. Also I think AK combos without A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] are unlikely. So fold the turn.
Hand#2: A solid player always cap pf multiway with AA or KK I think. I would have raised the flop and take it from there. Folding flop is not an option!!!! I think folding the turn is pretty bad too. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Hand2: I would have raised the flop and take it from there. [/ QUOTE ] why [/ QUOTE ] Big pot, want to maximize winning chance. We may have the best hand, we may be able to get to show down more cheaply. This is unlikely, but since the pot is big it's woth it IMO. Also I doubt MP would lead a huge hand like a set into us of fear of blowing the field out. |
