I have played a little over 300 HUSNG's on Stars over the past week and over the first 200 I was feeling pretty good and winning about 61% of my games split between the 6s, 11s, and 22s. Over my last 100 I started tweaking my game and was reading about limping alot early and raising more late. It hasn't really been working for me and I've been losing and I can't seem to snap my funk.

After reading in another thread HokieGreg saying that less than 80% of his games make it to the 50/100 level (probably over 80% of mine make it that far) I decided I needed some help.

I am posting this full hand history because in most of the big pots that are normally posted I feel great but it's all of the little pots where I don't feel comfortable.

Hand 3 raise KTs.

By hand 5 you should start to get an idea that he's going to be a station on dry flops and that he will probably lead almost all rivers in which you check behind the turn.

Hand 8 is good.

At about hand 15 it seems he doesn't like your limping.

I think hand 27 is fine. You can raise the turn I'd imagine he's firing out a ton of his misses on the river and may opt for a check raise a lot of times when he hits, so the way you played it is fine. You see how light he's calling now on that hand.

Hand 43 I might fire out a thin value bet on the river.

Hand 45 I don't think a minraise is good here preflop, I would limp this kind of hand, especially the way he hasn't raised your limps lately.

Fold hand 51, a few hands back the Q8 was questionable to raise PF, I'd probably limp it.

What'd he have on 78?

85 you need to either push or fold preflop, you should not limp this hand at these stacks.

I'll try to post some more in depth comments later on. I kind of breezed through it because I have some stuff to do, but this should give you a start to some feedback.

Hopefully one of the guys that has played FTP husngs more extensively than I have can respond a little about the basic strategy and structure you should be using for these. Stuff like preflop raising, limping at different blind levels, etc.

I'm not very experienced HU sng player but I'll try my luck!

The hands I'm not making notes about are those I think was played alright.

Hand 3:
Bet 3x BB instead of only 2 imo.
Make a C-bet on the flop, 2/3 to 3/4 of the pot. You need to give him a chance to fold. The only way you can give him that chance is by betting.

After the first 19 hands:
You have been RR'ed after limping 3 times now.
Some of the hands you limped, you should (imo) either fold or raise with. Fold 58o, raise T8o and Q3o.

I think it's important that you find out if your opponent will fold to raises preflop very often, and if he happily lays down his hand on the flop everytime you c-bet. This is valuable info you need to pick up on, and T8o and Q3o are IMO fine for rasing with for testing this stuff in the beginning of the game. Also he hasen't been overly aggro preflop (only when you have limped) - so I wouldn't fear a RR, but if it came I'd just fold ofc with the really crappy hands and perhaps call a small raise with a descent hand to see how he reacts on the flop (c-bet ect).

I would personally raise Q3o, he seems passive so why not. Even if he calls because it would be your 4'th raise from SB in a row, he seems to fold more often than not to c-bets, so go ahead and raise this up imo.

I'd just make a standard raise here, but don't think your all-in is a big mistake, if a mistake at all.

Generally I think you folded too many hands in SB. Villian showed no sign of aggresion so you could easily have raised many of the bad hands you folded, or even limped.
If he never fights back, if he never raises you pf raise or c-bet, just keep fireing. Sure if he starts calling all the time you can slow down.
Just don't get too cute with the bad hands you raise with. You raise with them because he is too passive, if he shows any kind of strength just respect that and it should be harmless playing those bad cards vs a passive opponent who isen't a calling station, which this guy didn't seemed to be.

8. F: also C/R or C/C your AA instead of B (?)
9. PF: fold 83o
14. F: lead the flop with FD repping A (?)
19. PF: fold Q3o (?)
23. PF: just call (or fold) with K3o instead of raise 2.5x (?)
30. F: bet your FD/GSD/RFD with AQJ flop (?)
32. PF: call 3xPFR with A7o (??)
33. PF: why raise 96s PF? just call at best it seems
43. R: why not bet the riv with 2pnk ?
45. PF: why raise with Q2s? is this because we read villain as weak?
49. PF: why raise with Q8o? is this because we read villain as weak?
55. PF: why raise with K3o? is this because we read villain as weak?
59. PF: why push 44? is it because villain is <10BB?
78. PF: just call instead of pushing AKo (?)
