Default Just a quicky

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero raises, MP2 3-bets, 3 folds, BB calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (9.33 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)

This is a online hand, so his definition of passive is probably different then yours. It's not like you can't habe the best hand here.

then why wouldnt you C/C and reevaluate the turn?

are we giving up for 1 sb just because we fear a turned A, K, or Q?

note: i still fold the flop

Because of the reverse implied odds. When you call a single bet on the flop you still have to get to the river. It's going to extremely hard to do this right: you can't know if you are already beat, if the pfr is bluffing on the A/K/Q/J turn or A/K/Q/J river and then we also have to worry about the BB that could have some worse hands, some draws or some better hands. I would call if both players couldn't bet the turn or river, but the fact that they can makes live just to complicated.

PF: okay
F: If MP2 is so tight and passive as to never C-bet, I think it's fine to fold with the caller.
