Re: Correct river fold?
Fold pre-flop.
Raise the flop. As played check-raise the turn. The fold looks good. Try using one of the converters that let you copy and past right into your thread. |

Fold pre-flop. [/ QUOTE ] Marginal... but agree [ QUOTE ] Raise the flop. [/ QUOTE ] Against most players yes! [ QUOTE ] As played check-raise the turn. [/ QUOTE ] Yes thats why we sometimes call flop against agressive postflopplayers [ QUOTE ] The fold looks good. [/ QUOTE ] Looks good but could be awful |

Re: Correct river fold?
A6o from early position is not marginal for me, especially at these stakes.

Re: Correct river fold?
ATo from early position for me. A9o is the marginal hand for me from that position in most games. There are too many people left to act behind you and you have bad position.

Re: Correct river fold?
Raises 6.25%
Which part pre flop don't you guys like? The initial raise or the call of the 3 bet once in? Is my flop check not +ev in the long run? Do I not risk folding say 88, surely here he only has 2 outs twice and I should sucker him to the river every time? Unless I'm against KK I'm an overwhelming favourite. I only raise the flop if a flush/str8 draw is out? Is this wrong? Stox advocates playing a3o from the c/o seat and then always calling any reraise? |

Re: Correct river fold?
My bad, I didn't notice that one guy was inactive. The pre-flop isn't as bad as I thought then.
As for the flop, he's going to have a difficult time putting on A6o here and he will put in a lot of bets with a K. I think he'll have trouble folding a medium pp in this spot. Waiting for the turn is fine though if you think that will get him to call you down or spew, but you should go for your raise there. |

Re: Correct river fold?
absolution pretty much nailed it.
I wouldn't raise up less than A9o from this spot unless it is the nittiest game online. When you have loose players behind you need to tighten up your Axo raises from up front. |

Raising A6o from CO is fine by me. off course you call a reraise. What he's AF postflop? He is passive pre, is that also the case postflop? Against a passive player I would checkraise this flop, against an agressive I could wait to c/r on turn. Don't be afraid he'll fold weak hand, be afraid you won't extract max value when he has a hand he'll take to SD. |
