AKs - I flop top/top and ... call down?
Villain is 13/5/1.6 over about 300 hands. Solid/unremarkable thus far.

Re: AKs - I flop top/top and ... call down?
Seems perfectly reasonable, I guess my question would be, what do you do if he checks the turn or river?

[/ QUOTE ] As soon as he bet out my plan was to call down and bet when checked to, turn or river. After villain bets the river, I actually had a difficult time imagining I was good 1 in 7.25 times. -d |

Re: AKs - I flop top/top and ... call down?
Not that I necessarily play it this way, but did you consider raising the flop with the possibility of checking behind on the turn?
As it is, you represented someone with scared KK calling down, so I guess you have to call on the end. Since the flop donk almost seems like a feeler to see if you have AQ or QQ, I'm tempted to say that he has the same hand as you, since I think that he check-raises with QQ or JJ and probably AQ/AJ. I don't know if he bets the river with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] |

pokr, what do you do if you raise the flop and get 3bet [/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure. I'm just tossing it out as an option since no one seems to stop and consider it. I don't use PokerTracker so I'm not entirely sure what those numbers tell me about how my opponent plays post-flop. What's my table image? Am I perceived as 3-betting QQ if I have it here, both flop and preflop? Would my opponent 3-bet AJ or AQ against my represented strength? |

Re: AKs - I flop top/top and ... call down?
I love it.
I bet for value if checked to. Obviously not folding turn if villian checkraises. Probably not river either becuase I love to pay off. |

Re: AKs - I flop top/top and ... call down?
Seems fine. I don't see any value in raising, and you're obviously not folding anywhere. Maybe the river, but I still would call. I do think he very likely has AQ here.

Re: AKs - I flop top/top and ... call down?
Only other way to play it might be Raise/Fold Turn.
You might win a bet less (since he folds the turn), when he has a weak holding, if he raises you can probably fold, which would cost you the same amount as calling on the turn/river, but you won't see the river card, which could be your K, to get a better 2pair. He will never fold AQ/AJ (or better) and you only win a bet extra when he has A/x(small). Nope, call/call it is. |
