Best place to Visit in Thailand for a 3 day break from Hectic China

Hey guys, I ve read most of the Thailand forums, and I know there is very good info, but for a person who is already used to the culture and doesn't want to see the touristy type [censored], where is the best place to go?

For background info, Im a 25 year pothead from the USA, but have been living in China for 5 months now.

I want the beach and do not feel like going to some filthy city like Bangkok since I currently reside in China and know what an Asian city is like.

I've been told Phuket is cool and I guess I can fly directly to there from Hong Kong or even Guangzhou.

So basically Im looking to chill by the beach during the day and party hard at good, crazy, packed bars/clubs at night. I dont want hookers, I want girls I can pick up on my own, I know this is difficult since Im only there 3 days, and I know it takes a couple times of seeing a girl before getting laid. I understand the whole "bar girl" thing, since the same [censored] goes on in China.

Any suggestions would be cool, I have never been to Thailand but understand China very well, and figure their must be at least some similarities between the two.

Must be too early for alot of the peops living in Thailand, only 11:45am here....Im planning this trip within the next few days so any help would be appreciated. I will prob stay an extra day as well so 3 nights / 4 days

hey nt, sorry to offend you or whatever, but I think my question doesn t get a direct answer from that forum. Again I live in China, so Im not the "typical" close eyed, non- knowledgeable American going to Thailand.....

Im also only going for a short stay, as when an American go, he isnt only going to go for 3 days or so....So sorry, Im lazy and all but I appreciate the help from others..

Also for the guy from Bangkok, Ive been told to just stay away because I won't enjoy it too much since it is very similar to any other large Asian city...What is your opinion, should I extend my trip an extra day or so and stop by Bangkok?

Just go to Patong. You can bang thai girls pretty easily, paying for it is better though imo.
