The Price is Right finally makes a choice

The new host of the "Price is Right" will be Drew Carey. Drew is a funny guy and did great on "Who's Line is it Anyway". I wonder if it will be too much for CBS to have him doing both the "Power of 10" and "TPiR". I see him as a far better choice than Rosie (shudder) or others that were trotted out as possible candidates. Do you think he will he make a career out of "TPiR" like Bob did? I really liked how Bob Barker said for him to be himself and try and not to copy how he did the show. I'm sure CBS may try and "glamor " up the show, but that might alienate some of the fans. Are you happy with CBS' decision to have Drew Carey as the new host or who should they have picked? Or let the show just end with Bob?

Drew Carey is [censored] annoying. This depresses me to no end. The only choice worse then him would be Rosie.

Drew was the only part of Who's Line is it Anyway that blew.

I'll grant you when he got out on the floor on Who's Line he never out shined the other comedians but as the host behind the desk he did a great job. Which is what he would be doing on TPiR.

Did you ever watch the original British version? That host was funny and knew how to host it well. Drew Carey blows. I can't stress that enough. If a man came and killed my whole family, and they tracked him down and captured him, then put him next to Drew Carey and gave me a gun with one bullet I'd probably shoot Drew Carey.

...Carey will be fine as long as he doesnt try and turn it into all about him....which goes the same for whomever they would have selected...

GOD NO. Drew Carey sucks so bad. hes not funny at all, I dont think ill ever watch the show again...

plus if they try to make it more glamorous...and they also got a new voice person to call people down and such, he sucks too.

I found that show impossibly annoying, and only watched it when I wanted to be annoyed at something (I also imagine TheRover doing something like this, so we have more in common than he thinks). However, it was a pretty popular show that people really enjoyed so it's probably just me.

Carey's a fine choice by me but Barker's shoes are impossible to fill, like when Ray Combs replaced Richard Dawson on Family Feud except X100. And we all know how that ended.

WTF is this Drew Carey just giving up on his career? Gameshows are where failures go to scrape by for their last days.

Also clearly Bob needs to be replaced by another famous pervert, perhaps Marv Albert?
