Default Moderator Vote/Discussion

Recently, I've seen some discussion around the forum regarding the suggestion of adding another moderator. I don't think anyone would suggest that DB isn't doing a bang-up job, but with work schedules and whatnot, he is currently largely on his own in moderating us here. It may not be long before the forum is split and we go our separate ways, so perhaps now is not the time to discuss adding another moderator. However, we can't really be sure when/if that will happen so I thought it might not hurt to broach the idea in an organized fashion now to see what everyone thinks.

Okay, here's where I intended to put the poll but I realize I have no idea how to do it.

Hmmm...I'll post this and either it will become evident shortly or the next person along can help point me in the right direction. LOL

LOL...thanks but not me.

Your other suggestions are excellent though. We can vote on choices if it looks like there is enough support for adding another Mod.

I guess my first question is are there specific things not getting done that need to get done from a moderating perspective?

Anything that gets tagged notify moderator or someone PMs me, I try to get it taken care of in short order--regardless of if it is (Weekly session reviews, additions to master sticky, etc)

There certainly is a fair argument to be made that full and active participate by a moderator is preferable. I know that my full participation has been lacking due to inability to surf at work (in addition to long hours), but if there are things slipping through the cracks (perhaps in the monthly chat thread) I'd prefer to hear about them and work to solve any problems that do exist?

nah berge, things are going fine. I have noticed a huge increase in microstakes hands being posted though and that might take away from some of the luster that would appeal to those that play higher. As for modding, its been fine, but you haven't been around much and I haven't seen Nation make an appearance in at least 3-4 months.

Yea and we don't need a new mod, just reaplace nation w/ someone else. We only need 3 mod spots, hell we don't even need that many. However, there is no point in keeping Nation as a mod. So yea just replace him with someone else if people really feel we need a new one.

And about the forum split, I really hate the idea. We barely have enough traffic as it is, splitting will just make things seem more dead.

As long as people keep up w/ putting the limits of thier hands in the thread titles, there is no need for a split.

I would like to see the mods of this forum locking and deleting a lot of the stupid "FR nitty?" and "shortstack" threads that pop up week after week. Specifically, Dynacrazes threads and the ones that are like that. (Nothing against him, just using his threads he started as exmaples of the things we dont need)
