Home Audio?
i know this isnt the right forum but then again im not sure what is.....
i just bought a matrix audio systems MX-605t. its a home theater system with woofer and center, front and surround channels. its hooked up to my tv but im gettinga sick humming... it is hooked, by itself, into a 3 prong outlet, and i checked all wire connections... what are some trouble shooting things i can do to fix this Fing hum? |

Are you using the cables they supplied you with?
Try moving the whole system to the middle of a room (so that you can't get interference from other sources). If you still get the hum, try a power conditioner (bad power is a pretty common source of hum). Are there any light dimmers on the same circuit? Those introduce it too. Also, try avsforum.com. They are experts in home audio and are generally very helpful. |

ahhhhhh yes there might be dimmers on the circut.... what can i do about this?

remove the dimmers.
or put your unit onto another circuit. or get something to regulate your power |
