![]() During the slower season for poker (which is basically the world series ending till January) it seems a lot of the good 4/8 games around town have dried up. I know that the only 8/16 games are going to be the Wynn/Bellagio. Is there anywhere else to find a good donktastic 4/8 game on a regular basis? Station casinos are too nitty for me to enjoy at all... MGM is worse. |

Luxor will definately not have a 4/8 going. They are a 1/2NL and 2/4 house.
For 4/8, Mandalay right next door has 4/8 pretty much 24/7. It used to be 1/2 blinds, but I think they may have done to full blinds by now. Venetian also spreads 4/8 all the time. |

MGM might have been the most weak-passive 4/8 game I have ever played in last August.

MGM has 4/8 and not 3/6 now?
Or they still regularly spread 3/6 but just decide to occasionally get a 4/8 going with enough interest? |

Is the 4/8 rake easy to beat ? Seems like if you're a half decent 2p2er with any kind of semi decent roll, I'd be playing bigger then 4/8 asap when in vegas.

Is there such a thing as a tough 4/8 game? I know some may not be optimal, but they should all be weak and beatable.

But as is being alluded to in this thread, finding many limit games higher than that isn't exactly the easiest thing to do in LV which I think is a big surprise to those who haven't been to LV before (I know it was to me...everywhere spreads 2/4 limit and MAYBE 4/8, it just blew me away). Limit is kind of dead. Outside of the variety of games at the Bellagio including 8/16, 15/30 and 30/60 and higher and some of the same games at Wynn you just aren't going to find much limit anywhere else in town. (not sure what the 10/20 and 20/40 scene is like at the Mirage during non-WSOP times). |

I haven't been to MGM since I moved up to 8/16, but I do like to to play there when I am drinking and wondering if they do 4/8 or 3/6. I know OP says stations are too nitty, but the 4/8 at Red Rock is really good, just as good as Wynn after about 6:00 PM based on many many hours at both. The recent rake increase sucks though. |
