PokerStars 15/30 Hold'em (3 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 1 fold, SB completes, Hero raises, SB calls. Flop: (4 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls. Turn: (3 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero checks. I feel like this is a big leak in my game. I tend to check this turn and call (most) rivers. River: (3 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets, Hero calls. Final Pot: 5 BB 1) should I bet betting the turn, with itention to fold to a c/r. (villian not a maniac, does that matter?) 2) Should I call the river or just lay it down? |

Bet turn and fold to a raise. As played with this river i would call of course. Mostly you will have that split pot.

yeah bet this Turn, you will not get bluff raised as much as u think, the River is a fold imho, most players will just c/c. If i have a fish read i tend to call because fish cant often resist to bet this thing.

i dont see the merits of betting this turn. [/ QUOTE ] Because villain is an SB open-limping fish, has KQ, A9, or [insert any one of like 50 hands that we beat here] and is SD bound? |

if hes at all good or tricky then checking this turn is obvious. against standard fishies i bet the turn and check behind the river.
also the riv call is standard obv |

As usual in a shorthanded game, knowing your opponent is everything. Key question is: "Is this guy capable of bluffing at this pot?" If yes, you should check the turn, else bet.
Most likely scenario is that he has 2 overs. If so, and he is a straightforward player, then you must bet the turn in order to win the pot right there. If he raises, and he is a straightforward player, then it is a super easy fold. But if he is a tricky player, this is a board that begs for a bluff raise, which is why I would lean toward checking against tricky players. You only bet against a tricky player if you are running hot against him and plan to call down his (hopeful) bluff. |
