$100 - Turned Straight in Blind Battle... what\'s my play?
Villain is 23/10, but only over 30 hands. What's more important is history, as we played this hand on another table just prreviously:
Ultimate Bet - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) Hero (SB): $100.00 BB: $21.60 UTG: $134.95 CO: $46.30 BTN: $97.00 Preflop: Hero is dealt (5 Players) 2 folds, <font color="red">BTN raises to $3.50</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $12.50</font>, BB folds, BTN calls $9.00 Flop: ($26) (2 Players) <font color="red">Hero bets $15.00</font>, <font color="red">BTN raises to $45.00</font>, Hero calls $30.00 Turn: ($116) (2 Players) Hero checks, <font color="red">BTN bets all-in for $39.50</font>, Hero calls $39.50 River: ($195) (2 Players - 1 All-In) Pot Size: $195.00 ($2 Rake) BTN had (a pair of jacks) and LOST (-$97.00) Hero had (full house, eights full of jacks) and WON (+$96.00) And now this hand: Ultimate Bet - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) Hero (SB): $99.00 BB: $98.00 UTG: $94.80 MP: $13.90 CO: $86.75 BTN: $178.70 Preflop: Hero is dealt (6 Players) 4 folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $3.00</font>, BB calls $2.00 Flop: ($6) (2 Players) <font color="red">Hero bets $6.00</font>, BB calls $6.00 Turn: ($18) (2 Players) <font color="red">Hero ??? </font> |

Re: $100 - Turned Straight in Blind Battle... what\'s my play?
He raised on a bluff, he calls on a made hand or a draw here. He's got an ace and you have a deceptive hand. Make it 12-15 to go.
He'll probably call...then you value bet any non-club river. Check/call any club river. If he raises just push, he may be timid about pushing into you again on a bluff at the river. |

Re: $100 - Turned Straight in Blind Battle... what\'s my play?
I just bet 13 - it is Friday the 13th yo and if raised 3bet AI. Unlike the 1st hand the board is dangerous so I shove turn if allowed.
I am betting a river if just called - though I may check-call a flush card and let him bluff -obv ultra read dependent but I'm calling alot here and may be paying off. |

[ QUOTE ]
Nobody checks to induce bluff? [/ QUOTE ] If he raised you on the flop and you had called, yeah...check and he'll fire. I think you just have to play the deceptiveness of your hand to your advantage. If he has an ace, he has no reason to put you on a straight here. You want to make this pot as big as possible here. He has position on you, so if he wants to make it small...he'll do that ESPECIALLY if he's flushing...I mean you give him a free card which we all know is a bad poker move. |
