History of financial services books?
I'm looking for a couple books on the history of financial services, stock markets, etc. for some fun reading. They can general or specific, or biographies/personal accounts, whatever. Just so that they are not super dense and textbook-ish.
Suggestions? |

Re: History of financial services books?
I read one called NASDAQ: A History of the Market that Changed the World or something like that.
It was pretty informative. |

Re: History of financial services books?
"Every Man A Speculator"
A history of wall street in America. I haven't read that yet, but got it from the library I read Peter Lynch's books which I really like. They are part biography/ part investment advice but easy to read. "One Up on Wall Street" and "Beating the Street" are the two better ones he has written. "one up..." is the better one. There is a book out about the Goldman Sachs firm. A Warren Buffet Biography called American Capitalist. " A random walk down wall street" by Burton Malkiel is a great book about different investment/stock theories. |
