2/7 triple draw hand
10/20 6 handed
Folded to me, I open K234T in the CO. Button has been tight so far and 3-bets me. I call and HU. I draw 2, button draws 1. I c/c with K2345. I draw into a ten and c/c. I make an 8 for 85432. bet/call, c/c, c/r? rest of the hand? I know opening is probably loose but i basically had the button and SB was terrible (cold call draw 3, c/f a bunch) and BB was tight. |

Re: 2/7 triple draw hand
Do you think he's capable of betting on round 3 if he is still drawing? If not, I c/f round 3. As played, bet/call the river.

bet-call. No way I'm folding the last draw.

Re: 2/7 triple draw hand
I generally checkraise / call 3 bet here. A read helps obviously but I think your generic 10/20 player value bets the river fairly wide. Also the preflop is fine and considering folding this would be ridiculously tight.

Re: 2/7 triple draw hand
Opening here is not loose at all, you have a premium hand well worth raising.
What I do on the river depends on the villain. If they are the type to bet any 8 and their smooth 9s then I c/r. If they are passive and think it's a good idea to check behind 87542 on the river then bet. Against these people you can fold if they raise generally, I have been just called with #3-5 a ton by this sort of player after I make a value bet with an 86 and I'm proud of myself for being smart enough to donk, get excited to watch the virtual pot slide my way, but to my dismay I get shown a monster hand. Nobody ever folds to river c/r if they have something so you don't have to worry about that. I think the more solid players actually fold more to donks than to c/r which is probably something worth considering for bluffing situations. Some more aggressive players will get offended by a river c/r here and 3bet if they were bluffing. Some will 3bet with a worse hand for value. Too much on the river in 2-7 depends on who you are playing, but c/r/call 3, bet/call and bet/fold are all possible lines for me here. |

Re: 2/7 triple draw hand
Yeah I c/r'd but I like your points on betting and being called by better hands HOWMANY.
This game is whacky. Any links to good threads/texts i would appreciate, even if via PM. |
