On the flop I decide to float, and sensing weakness on the turn I decide to convince him I have an A, and get him to fold his higher PP. How's my line? |

Yeah I like a flop raise too, hard for him to countinue without an ace.
As played, I bet more on the turn 72ish. If called I think I gotta check it down, I see AJ/AQ maybe making crying calls here. [ QUOTE ] umm...preflop raise, fire any flop [/ QUOTE ] lol |

umm...preflop raise, fire any flop [/ QUOTE ] 2nd lol, I play med PP's for set-value - not for bluffing people I never bet this river - you don't get an Ace to fold. A higher PP wouldn't call the turn bet. Imo the turn bet is good, but I check behind the river. |

I like this line a lot against not too tricky opponents. Preflop I know it has become more standard to 3 bet to gain FE on this and subsequent streets, but if he's like 18/15 you're probably getting called most of the time preflop, and can't really narrow his range much if he does call.
I like flop turn and river lines against a guy like this because your hand looks like AJ/AT and he is probably not going to try to blow you off of this with TT-KK. If he is tricky however, especially if he views you as tricky, then this line sucks a lot because him CRing turn with AK/AQ is much more likely, as is him calling down with TT+. |

Don't try it too often, but I like it. I wouldn't have tried river bluff vs most people just because it's not very obvious what exactly you're repping, and it looks like he has AK or AQ on turn, which often looks up a river. But yea, NH vs this particular thinking TAG.

raise flop, see where you are, you really have no info going into turn, but your bluff worked.

Floating flop is kinda meh, but ok with some decent reads. Raising flop is fine vs a lot of TAGs at this level because they don't know you well enough/can't read hands well enough to know you have set/2pair/air here. You fold out AT- like always.
