A6s blinds battle in 22/180, 14 left
14 left in a 22/180 on Stars. I have been quite quiet at the table, although I have raised my sb every time it was folded to me.
Then this hand occurs and it seems like bb wants to take a stand vs my aggression: PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t800 (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) UTG (t14950) MP1 (t43007) MP2 (t8980) CO (t11540) Button (t11035) Hero (t32130) BB (t28730) Preflop: Hero is SB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 5 folds, Hero raises to t2400, BB calls t1600. If called, what to do on non-ace, non-spade river? |

Re: A6s blinds battle in 22/180, 14 left
I'd bet alil more on the flop, around 2800-3000 sounds about right, you don't mind taking it down right now obv. If he raises I'm 3-betting all-in almost always in this spot.
On the turn since the pot will be slightly bigger if you bet more on the flop I probably check w/ the intentions of c/r all-in if he bets around 1/2 pot or more. As you played it I'd 3-bet his minraise all-in. Whenever I see that minraise nowadays it seems like it's an attempt at some sort of bluff by villain that he doesn't want to commit to many chips on. Soemtimes they got it of course, but if I have any kind of decent hand I usually play it pretty aggro. The thing w/ your play is that you basically have to check-fold the river if you miss because if you lead on the river after calling his raise on the turn it looks way to much like a bluff. |
