Default Interesting educational resource

Here's a link to MIT Open Course Ware. They give free access to lecture notes and the assignments for a variety of courses.

A few of the sections relevant to politics:

Economics, Linguistics and Philosophy, and POlitical Science. Unfortunately it is only for self learning, you don't get MIT credits lol

I guess that's one less reason why I can't be free.

I guess this would be a good time to tell you about my Chomsky archive.

I'll second bkholdem's endorsement of this website. While not all the courses have stellar resources yet, a lot of them do, and the ones that don't are still pretty good.

I've looked mostly into their math lecture notes and have found them invaluable. I majored in physics in college and still like to read papers from time to time, but increasingly I find my lack of math expertise holding me back. The MIT website has alleviated much of that issue.

Just to reiterate, GREAT resource. Twenty years from now the nature of higher education will be barely recognizable (in a good way) thanks to innovators like MIT.

In all fairness, it was the internet people that did the innovating, MIT's just using it.

Fair point, although it is still extremely admirable for MIT to be doing it. Harvard, for example, has had a similar opportunity over the last few years and on the whole is extremely hesitant about it. Our student newspaper even had articles about how a Harvard education is something you have to earn and it would ruin the mystique and wouldn't be fair to Harvard students etc. I don't often agree with the people that write for that paper anyway, but there are few times that I've been more disappointed in them.
