Consider this readless.
My bet on the turn is thin I think, but I had the feeling I was very likely to have the best hand. I decided to CR the river, because my hand is disguised (runner runner), and it is likely one of villains has either a straight, top pair, or trips. Villains don't seem like the type who like to fold. Was my thinking okay here? Or is this bad (because the board has paired)? id probably just led river for like 15. the c/r is probably goin to scare villian off of alot of hands and he/she could also check behind then we lose value.

I like it. This is a spot where you already on the turn can decide to cr river ai when you hit. If you lead river when the flush hits, villain might just call with some very strong hands.

Anyone like a turn check/shove when MP comes along? It might be a bit of FPS but you def have a lot of fold equity and great googly moogly you have a lot of outs when called.

[/ QUOTE ] We have tpgk, why would we want FE? What better hands fold, what worse hands call? [/ QUOTE ] TPGK facing a bet and a call isn't really a great hand; I would imagine that most of our equity in this spot comes from our straight, flush, two pair and trip outs. A check/shove here would be a large bet and would make almost all one pair hands fold and probably some two pair hands, as well as all draws which may be stealing our outs (higher flush draws) I don't like calling the turn because if the river bricks you're going to have to fold it to any action, I just don't see TPGK being good enough there. Still not sure if check/shoving is good, just throwing around a new approach. |
