So fairly deep in the $2000 NL WSOP Event and I'm moved to a new table with roughly T29,000 in chips and average about T20,000. Only people I know at the table are RaZsi and Jennifer Tilly. Tilly has a big stack and seems to be playing a lot of pots and 3bet my first steal attempt but live play is rigged so she's probably just getting hit with the deck.

Blinds of 300/600, EP limps, I limp behind with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], dude behind me raises to T2000 (LOL!), Tilly calls from blinds, EP calls, I call.

Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Tilly leads out for 5000. EP folds. I have like T27,000 and consider pushing but decide that it just wreaks of a naked flush draw and opt to raise to T16,000 instead, leaving myself T11,000 behind and essentially commiting myself to the pot. Raiser folds, and Tilly begins to tank. I'm actually chuckling to myself at the time, thinking about the Poker After Dark hand where she "thought Ivey had KK" and checked behind her boat or whatever. So she gets a count on me, looks me up and down about a thousand times, counts her chips about a thousand times, etc.. etc.. then finally she... calls. Turn is the 10[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], and she pushes... LOL

So now I'm left sitting there with my [censored] in my hands. I think I said something like "fuuuuuuuuuuuck, now I have to do math.." and figured I was getting something like 5:1ish.. I opted to fold because I was still left with a manageable stack, and actually ended up going deep in the tournament to the final 3 tables, but I thought this hand was really funny.

Pardon my stupidity, but why is raising 600 BB to 2000 LOL worthy?

I don't play NL or tournaments but the blinds were 300 and 600. So, SB has 300, BB 600, and two limpers each put in 600. So when it gets to Jen there is 2100 in the pot. A 2000 raise is pretty absurd here and worthy of the LOL.

Aren't there also ante's at the 300/600 level or am I mixing something up? If it's like 300/600/50 then it's definitely laughable to make it 2000 to go after two limpers, but it's only boarderline bad if there's no antes.
