50NL: AA vs. a steamer
Villain is a LAG, he was up to 4 buyins but after losing one, he seems to be on tilt, making some unusually big PFR-s.
Poker Room skin No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 4 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $99.10 Button: $30.35 hero: $85.50 BB: $50 Pre-flop: (4 players) hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG calls, Button folds, <font color="#cc0000">hero raises to $2</font>, BB folds, UTG calls. Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($4.5, 2 players) <font color="#cc0000">hero bets $3</font>, <font color="#cc0000">UTG raises to $10</font>, hero calls. Turn: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($24.5, 2 players) hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">UTG bets $18</font>, hero calls. River: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($60.5, 2 players) hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">UTG bets $60</font>, <font color="#cc0000">hero calls all-in $55.25</font>. Uncalled bets: $4.75 returned to UTG. Results: Final pot: $171 1. Should I have raised more PF? 2. Anyone reraising the flop or folding on later streets? 3. Turn + river standard? Or should be more aggressive? |

Re: 50NL: AA vs. a steamer
1. Sometimes I will open for more than standard with your read. $2 = $3 very often if LAG villain is steaming/splashing around. Also, a bigger preflop open increases post flop bet/pot sizes which is great for us. At the same time, I think preflop is totally, totally fine/std as played and I probably do the same 80%+ of the time even with the read.
2/3. I'm sure I play it the exact same and I think it really really sucks if he had a {Tx/JJ/44} here. But I think this guy can have {air, pp, Jx, QQ/KK} more often so I think hero's line is maximising EV against that range. Just IMO. |

Re: 50NL: AA vs. a steamer
i thought above just shoving the river but I think any J will bet the river anyway and we might induce some rediculous bluff by checking.

Re: 50NL: AA vs. a steamer
also I think I would probably raise the turn. Jx is not folding and neither are we so get it in before an A, K, or Q hits the river to slow Jx down.
