Default CAZ mixed games

Hey guys, I have recently returned from my summer trip to vegas, where we played many hours of mixed games, i was hoping that along with some of my 2+2 brethren we could get a 4-8 mix going at CAZ, hell I dont even care if its not all the games, just a rotation of the ones they spread would be a blast (HOS), every time I ask them they look at me like Im smokin dust. I am hoping with enough request we could at least get an interest list goin, what do you say??

I would love to play a low limit mix game occasionally to practice my other games. I know they are very against starting a low limit mixed game, only the big games ever go. I asked the high limit floor about the 15/30 mixed game plaque they have on the high stakes board and if they ever got one going, and she said no.

I would be willing to show up some evening and put my name on the list and leave a 20/40 game to get one started a few nights, but after getting it in the rotation, I probably wouldn't want to play it but once or twice a month, since I know it would seriously hurt my winrate, maybe even negatively (I suck at stud!).

How is that 20/40 game btw?
I just dont see how hard it is to get one started or keep it going for that matter, and i think at 4/8 with full kill it could be fairly lucrative. It just bugs me that because they know they are the only game in town, they could care less about the players and their wishes. Although, maybe I am on dust thinkin anyone would want to play in this game. lmao
Mix games are gonna be blowin up after the HORSE tv coverage this year, so that means they will catch on in AZ in a few years, lol

The 20-40 is a great game if you have the bankroll.

I'd be happy to play a low limit mix game even though I also suck at stud, and omaha, and holdem. I'm really only available to play Thursday - Sunday, and evenings might be tough.

The reality is, the player base needed to sustain a 4/8 mix game is not a solid enough.

At CAZ, low limit Omaha/Holdem/Stud players are just that...Omaha or Holdem or Stud Players.

You might see each playing in the other game, but it is only temporary until a seat in their choice game becomes available, then they are locked in.

The players that WILL play 4/8 are probablly not who you want to be playing against( 2+2'ers types).

You would have a Better shot at sustaining a 15 or 20 mix.

You would have a much easier time getting that game spread at the Fort. If 6-8 people showed for a 4/8 mixed game, they would spread it as long as MTT left enough dealers/tables for the game. Also considering the user base you will likely have a full table shortly after the game gets going.

Perc,
You have a good point, but the Fort seems so much farther. The Fort seems much more accomodating as well (hell they would probably spread Chinese if we asked nicely, lol) Now I just got to get 6-8 people to show up...

I don't think CAZ would bother w/ it. The place is filled up anyway. Percula is right in that The Fort would be more accomodating but 'nobody' wants to drive out there. And UbinTook is right, you don't want to play mix games in most places because the competition is stiffer. There was a 20 mix for a while at CAZ and it didn't last because we were just pushing the chips back and forth w/o attracting enough players who were not mix game types.

Well that sucks... What is the word on the 5-150 Omaha? This was rumored around CAZ awhile back, I could never get a straight answer, some said it would be O8, some said straight high, I just figured I wouldnt hold my breath, any one have any new info on this?
re- 4-8 mix, I think that because CAZ is so busy and there are so many youngsters, if this game was spread, and actually got off the ground it would be a pretty +ev game due to the fact that most would not be profficient in the games, and would not be a bunch of "players" pushing chips. But alas Im not gonna hold my breath for that either. Like I said I just returned from my summer pilgrimage to Vegas and always forget about the Nazi regime that runs CAZ in lieu of the ultra-accomodating competitive market that is Vegas.
ps- Maybe I just like to hear myslef b*tch and moan
