I'm finding it's quite difficult to track down places running 8/16 games, or near it (6/12-10/20). What locations in vegas are most dependable for having these games running at any given time? Just the B and Wynn? I can't believe that the V can't get them going but on the weekends even with the $2 rake.

Also if I remember correctly the Bellagio doesn't use $2 chips for 8-16. Which is the stupidest thing ever...that is probably why the game didn't run for more than an hour last time I was there.

I've played 8/16 at the Wynn and the Bellagio. In my experience it's pretty difficult to get an 8/16 game going at the Bellagio. Both times I was there I had to play 4/8 until they finally got enough interest for an 8/16 game.

[ QUOTE ]
the best 8/16 game in the solar system is at canterbury. [/ QUOTE ] I actually used to go there semi-often before i was 21 and living in illinois, but alas now i live in vegas. Canterbury was for sure a better cardroom than any in vegas. |

I am so sad now that I moved from Minnesota, I have to wait 2 years or travel 300ish miles if I want to play live poker again, I am not 21 yet and no damn 18+ casinos here.

the best 8/16 game in the solar system is at canterbury. [/ QUOTE ] Spoken like a true non-Angeleno. There's no way that game can be better than the Normandie or Hawaiian Gardens 8/16s. Those games are softer than Party .50/1 circa 2004. |
