Default A weird hand, capped pf villain bifecta\'s me

I was really lost during the hand... thoughts? BTN is 40/11/1.6 after 40 hands, UTG+1 just sat down.

Very weird. I think he's a donkey with aces when he check/raises the flop, although the later action may be influencing me. I'm clueless, tough hand.

I would bet the turn too because 2p2ers don't give free cards, but really what does he have? A flush draw would've just bet the flop. JJ/TT would have to overplay to cap the flop, and then the turn check is inconsistent.

I agree with Miles. I like just calling the flop checkraise.

And, like Miles, I would get checkraised again on the turn.

In any case, I think one thing that is working in our favor in the hand is that UTG+1 is new. He could be one of those guys that likes to sit down and make a big first impression.

However, given his persistence with the trappy play throughout the hand, I suspect that unfortunately for us he either has AA or made a speculative limp-cap with 88/44/33 and got lucky.

Hands like 98s or 99 would be more annoying and aren't out of the question either.
