Default Treasure Island, Harrahs or Luxor? Discuss.

Going to Vegas in a month looking to play mostly tournaments/have a good time. Thoughts on where to stay between the 3?

If I remember correctly, Harrah's takes quite high percentage for the tourneys. I suggest staying at Harrah's. The rooms are nice and so is the location

Yes, but with the way they're mucking up the WSOP it seems almost criminal to give them business.

I just booked a room at the Luxor for 6/29-6/30... I'll let you know when I get back Sunday. Or maybe when I'm there.

TI, and its not even close.

Location, poker room overall quality and staff, action, and hotel/casino in general.

Anyone who works in the Luxor's poker room should have their face bitten off. That poker room is the worse.
Take the tram to Mandalay to play Poker or go to the strip to play.

Id say Harrahs, good location, great carnaval court, close to Caesars with some great 120-200 tourneys.

I stopped by TI last night. The 1/2 (1/3?) had the look of shark-infested waters. OTOH I cashed in a tournament. Can't recommend them though, the timing was just right, so I entered. Planet Hollywood's $60 tourneys have a bigger starting stack and bigger fields.

I would say Harrahs and Treasure Island are both close to the good, big cardrooms. Poker on the south strip is pretty much worthless in my opinionin with the exception of MGM. I like staying close to the good cardrooms (Bellagio,Wynn,Mirage,Venetian) so I can just walk to them and not have to worry about driving and waiting in cab lines.
