MLB Futures Game - Top Five Prospects
Guys:
Need help with picking the top five prospects in this year's Futures Game. In my mixed fantasy league, we have a minor league 5-man roster. Shockingly, no one has figured out that the Futures Game roster is an amazing way to stock their ML roster. Right now I have Hochevar, Humberto Sanchez, Anibal Sanchez & George Kottaras (one open spot). First instinct is to keep Hochevar & Anibal and cut Humberton/Kottaras. That leaves me with three spots. Here are the rosters: 2007 U.S. Team Pitchers Name Organization B T HT WT Birthdate Birthplace Collin Balester Washington R R 6-5 190 Joba Chamberlain New York (AL) R R 6-2 230 Chuck Lofgren Cleveland L L 6-4 215 Michael Madsen Oakland R R 6-0 160 Jeff Niemann Tampa Bay R R 6-9 280 Garrett Olson Baltimore R L 6-1 195 Catchers Name Organization B T HT WT Birthdate Birthplace Bryan Anderson St. Louis L R 6-1 200 J.R. Re: MLB Futures Game - Top Five Prospects
After some research, I took Chamberlain, Lofgren & Niemann. Looks like those three are pretty highly touted and the closest to the big leagues.
I cut Kottaras and H. Sanchez...kept A. Sanchez just based on his performance at the end of the year, I'll stash him and see how it goes. |
