Default FTPDoug/Sean - Hacker on FTP - Please read

Just logged into my account to see that I had transferred someone named "Mollila" $71.02. I was not at my computer nor logged onto FT when this funds transfer occurred. I know that the amount is not that much but it means the world to me in terms of trusts and security.

If anyone knows of this person or can give me someone to contact (I have already sent FTP cashier and security an email) that would be wonderful.

Thanks.

Guys..keylogging software and even worse rootkits are bad, hard to detect and can be on many, many computers. Virus scanning cannot detect them. And rootkits are a whole other monster.

Keylogging trojans are different from keylogging software. Most keylogging software you'd need to have physical access to the computer to install and effectively use. This generally comes down to who do you know that knows the money you have on your computer, and do you trust them? Virus scanners won't report keylogging software because it's "legitimate", so to speak.

Rootkits scare the [censored] out of me though. I'm thinking about getting a new computer and then formatting this computer just so I can start fresh and know that there's nothing that I don't know about hidden on my computer. I'm very careful about what I do, and I use a lot of protective software, but you can never be too careful when it comes to computer security, IMHO. Especially when thousands of dollars are at stake.

Also, to anyone knowledgeable, what's a good, low-resource and simple firewall? I used Sygate for a long time and really liked it, but they were bought by Symantec and don't update it anymore. So I switched to ZoneAlarm, but it's kind of a resource hog.

I love how for every 1 hacking story from any poker site which isnt FTP, there are 37.2 hacked stories from FTP, yet FTP still claims the problem is not on their side
