5.5$: 2 hands, both early headsup against the same player
Hi
Due to these 2 hands I went out after about 5 hands. What do you think about them? Re: 5.5$: 2 hands, both early headsup against the same player
Hand 1: Raise to around 120 PF. 3XBB usually isn't enough to get the pot HU. The pot bets on each street bar the river seem like you're overplaying the hand, unless you knew that villain would call regardless of bet amounts. Bet around 150-160 on flop and 500 on turn. I'd push the river. You've already invested more than 1/3 of your chips. A lot of the time TPTK is good here in $5's. However I'm basing my judgement on no reads, so unless you have a good read which is telling you to fold, then muck it.
Hand 2: Standard. |

Hand 1 - I think I'd check the turn. Might be a weak play but there are both straight and flush draws on the board. A made straight and two pair are both possibilities. I don't think villain is folding whatever you bet.
Hand 2 - I think it's read dependent. If CO is raising light the all-in is fine otherwise I think I'd call and see a flop. |

Hand one I push the turn instead of putting 40% of your stack in on a drawy board and folding on the river.
Hand two is fine IMO. Calling for that much of your small stack stinks, and folding is weak. |

It's a really drawy board, and you are ahead more often than not on both the flop and turn. Giving free cards on this board isn't something I like doing, and the pot is almost t600! Take it down now. If he floated the GSD on the flop then he just got lucky. Otherwise, I am fine paying off 2pr or a set which won't happen much. Checking on this board I don't like, any substantial bet is too much of your stack, so push. There are way too many cards you don't want to see on the river. |

Re: 5.5$: 2 hands, both early headsup against the same player
But you would push the turn? I just thought this might be really a donk move. But in 5$ I'm just playing TPTP like the nuts, usually worth it. I just knew this guy was on a flush draw that's why I folded...

He may do it, and it may pay off for him, but most of the time you either take down the nice pot of t600, or he makes a dumb call and misses his draw. |

U cant fold the river in hand 1. I would bet 150 on the flop and 450 on the turn.
