Hopefully standard, 6max 10NL with KK
New Villan, their 1st hand... I think this is fairly ok, but ideas on pf raise size and flop bet size much appreciated. (Overbet intended - good/bad?)

Re: Hopefully standard, 6max 10NL with KK
I would maybe raise to around 1.2 preflop and bet just around the pot on the flop. Your overbet isn't accomplishing much. There's probably no way I fold here as his range is fairly wide especially at 10NL.

well played, but don't overbet the pot. You don't want to chase the guy away with a mediocre hand.

Re: Hopefully standard, 6max 10NL with KK
ty guys! I was never folding, obv, I don't think I could consider that given the number of J's that 10NL Villans consider raise-worthy here. The overbet is obv controversial, and I can see good reasoning behind the opinions, I bet that to encourage villain to think I had missed with AK etc, thus overplaying their own hand in order to 'protect' it. If the villain has no hand, I'm getting nothing more, but again, w/o a hand I'm only getting whatever he bets on flop, as I would c/r his bet. Moving away from the hand itself, any thoughts on this as a useful/wasteful line considering stakes and opponents who are often happy to push Broadway cards and med pp's much too far. Does anyone try this regularly?

As played I call, but I don't see a reason to overbet the pot on the flop.
