97s hits trips on 993 board and I dont like my play
Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)
Hero (SB): $195.00 BB: $40.00 UTG: $236.64 MP: $200.65 CO: $153.95 BTN: $216.25 Preflop: Hero is dealt (6 Players) UTG raises to $4.00, MP folds, CO calls $4.00, BTN folds, Hero calls $3.00, BB folds Flop: ($14) (3 Players) Hero bets $10.00, UTG calls $10.00, CO raises to $20.00, Hero raises to $60.00, UTG folds, CO calls $40.00 Turn: ($144) (2 Players) Hero bets $118.00 Something feels wrong as I shove here. Is this a bad shove? What are my options? How do you like the hand up to this point? EDIT: No real reads on either of these players. Nothing stood out as I played the hand so assume average 1/2 players that generally play bad. |

Re: 97s hits trips on 993 board and I dont like my play
I suppose I could have squeeze but there was an UTG min raiser and his range kind of scares me. If he calls it might get messy post flop and I suspect he will call PF a lot. So I called for implied odds.
I have a feeling my flop 3bet sucks but I dont know what else to do? |

I have a feeling my flop 3bet sucks but I dont know what else to do? [/ QUOTE ] I agree. I am concerned that our 3bet on this dry flop folds out everything but 9x combos and 33. I would like to call and disguise the strength of our hand. Calling would invite the UTG player to come along and would give us a $74 pot on the turn (villain with $130 behind). I would check and re-evaluate the turn (CRAI most of the time). |

Just play it WA/WB after you get raised on this very dry board. Call the raise and go from there, with an eye towards showdown.

Re: 97s hits trips on 993 board and I dont like my play
it's PP and squeezing an xpert minraiser kinda sucks IMO.
your b3b line looks super bluffy (yeti ftw??) and I doubt a decent overpair folds here. You coulda called the flop minraise and hoped for UTG to tag along, and then donked the turn again I guess, but that line represents way more strength. |

Re: 97s hits trips on 993 board and I dont like my play
why do you shove the turn? it's not like there are any draws... well, there's one, but you've got it!
so i like to check call turn (ch ca assuming he pushes, ch raise ai if he does anything less, since he doesn't have much left) it's obv. what you have by the turn, so open shoving lets him play more or less flawlessly... checking the turn gives him the option to screw up, and if he checks behind there's still the river for value i prefer a turn check after your flop 3 bet.... obv. call a push, and if he does anything less than a push, cr ai.. but he's so short he prob. pushes if anything if he checks, push river... since no one folds anything to flop aggression, turn check, river aggression |

Yeah I'm with keiki, I would try to get AI but not jam so much so fast. Give him a little rope.

looks fine. I bet 60 on turn. If you are beaten so be it if not try to get some more $$ from CO.
