3/5 fire 3rd bullet?
3/5 live game, $200 buy in. Villian in this hand was just moved here from a broken game, so I don't have any sort of read on him. My table image should be pretty solid though.
Chip counts: Hero ($210) Villian ($400) Hero is CO with Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Preflop: 2 limps, hero raises to $25, BB calls, 1 limper calls. Flop ($80): A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB checks, limper checks, hero bets $40, BB calls, limper folds. Turn ($160): K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB checks, hero bets $60, BB calls. River ($280): J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] BB checks, hero...? Give up, or fire the 3rd shell? I've been putting him on a weak ace or an OESD. If he has the ace, he's not folding for my last $85, and if he had the open ended, then I can beat him at show down. What should I do? Also, was the turn bet a dumb idea? Since I knew nothing about him should I just have taken the free card? Should I have bet the turn harder? |

Re: 3/5 fire 3rd bullet?
40bb deep and youre raising Q3s in a live game trying to isolate limpers. then, with your massive stack, you are trying to go 3 barrels. you achieve this by betting 1/2 pot on the flop, 1/3 pot on the turn, and (what you are really debating) is the tricky 2/9 bet on the river trying to push a live player off an ace on an ace high board giving him about a billion to 1.
ya, go ahead. |

Re: 3/5 fire 3rd bullet?
why are your bets so small? (and pf seems pretty bad when you're short)
checking behind is good on the turn, since you're bdfd is somewhat hidden, and you have so little money left you'll likely get paid off if you do bet the turn why don't you just push the turn, since you've only got $140 left at that point and pot is $160.... |
