3,000 Tournament Backing
If am going to be playing in a 3,000 buy in. I am going to sell pieces of me to ease the pain. If I sell 500 would I give 16%? How do you figure this out? And if some buys you completely in is it 50%

Re: 3,000 Tournament Backing
If 50% was for the complete buy then 8% would be for $500 surely?
You would then need to cash for double the buyin for the backers to break even. |

Re: 3,000 Tournament Backing
When Raymer won, he got 35% off the top for time and effort. The rest of the winnings were distributed based % of money contributed. Raymer contributed 33% of the money, and wound up with 35% + 65%/3 or 56.7% of the total prize. His deal was no make up. In other words, if he went bust, everyone shared in the losses to the extent of their contributions.
Some long term backing deals have make up. If the player busts out of 1 event, then the backer gets his money back if he cashes in a subsequent event. |
