bet $40 and push over his raise or call his ai

i'm worried he checks behind w Jx... in which he just calls your river bet

i think he calls more often than he bets... he can't be feeling very good about either trips or a str8 given the board and his turn bet size

I like to bet the turn. Villain is the type that is likely to check behind both draws and marginal hands rather than take a stab. It also keeps you out of a sticky situation against trip jacks when the river bricks and villain bets again.

As for the river I prefer to bet because I think that villain is more likely to raise his trips on the river than to pay off our check/raise. I think he definitely is the type to be able to fold QJ here. However he could raise it reading you for AhKh or even any AK chasing the gutshot.

I love open shoving here. You get called by lower boats, often by straights, sometimes by a jack with a high kicker.

I believe openshoving is more +EV than a decent sized value bet.

This is definitely a good play. If villain is pavel55 this is the only line.
