NL25 A9 hand in SB -makes top pair & last to act bets vs AQT
Villain is 49.1/21.8/1.8 over 55 hands
As he was last to act on the flop I thought a call was right despite the scary board, but then I weakly check-folded the turn which looks really bad. Should I bet the turn here, or check call because it's likely he'll bet? Or was I right to check hoping he'd shut down if he was behind. I had folded alot in the SB when there were limpers so if he was paying attention he would have thought it likely I had an ace. Or maybe I should just check-fold the flop given how scary the board is. Re: NL25 A9 hand in SB -makes top pair & last to act bets vs AQT
Against this type of opponent, I like to see how they play weaker aces. It seems to me a bunch of players with these kind of numbers will over value weaker aces, especially in this position. Although, without that information and essentially readless I'm probably gonna fold the turn.
