Re: JJ in MP, UTG limp-pushes...
Raise is fine with me. Some might say that you shouldn't raise an UTG raiser and then fold to a raise. I'd still raise, however. Usually the limp-push from utg is As or Ks, but not always. The most common variation of the play is that they do it with AK. You see it done by other PPs sometimes. My deciding factor here would probably be to check out sharkscope and look at his ROI and games played. If it's positive over anything more than a tiny, tiny sample size, I'd fold. I'd still fold if it was negative, but not too negative. If it's highly negative, I'd call.

Re: JJ in MP, UTG limp-pushes...
This is real read-dependent, but you are getting pretty good pot odds if CO folds, so I might push. I disagree with the other poster, I would be more likely to call down a good player. With UTG's stack size, the play makes sense with a lot of hands, and you are ahead of lower pps and AK.

Re: JJ in MP, UTG limp-pushes...
I had a bad feeling about the limp in the first place. Every time I've called an UTG limp-push, it's been an overpair.
Results: I folded, CO called with 99, UTG hit his set of aces. |
