10/20 400+bb Deep with KK
$10/$20 No Limit Holdem
6 players Stacks: UTG (<font color="#0000cc">$1927.00</font>) UTG 1 (<font color="#0000cc">$3311.50</font>) CO (<font color="#0000cc">$5121.00</font>) Hero (<font color="#0000cc">$8302.50</font>) SB (<font color="#0000cc">$9898.50</font>) BB (<font color="#0000cc">$5114.59</font>) Pre-flop: ($30, 6 players) Hero is BTN K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 1 fold, <font color="#cc0000">UTG 1 raises to $120</font>, 1 fold, Hero calls $120, <font color="#cc0000">SB raises to $550</font>, 1 fold, UTG 1 calls $440, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $2380</font>, <font color="#cc0000">SB raises to $4240</font>, <font color="#cc0000">UTG 1 goes all-in $2871.5</font>, Hero ??? I have $5.9k left. UTG is a 42/14 fish. SB is a 32/22/2.6 aggro TAG who I've always had trouble with. This guy constantly three-bets you, and calls/raise your flop cont. bets. Basically its very hard to even win a simple pot from him. I called the first raise from the fish because I knew villain likes the squeeze and there would be a good chance he would re-raise. Villain then *MIN* 5-bets, fish goes all-in, and now it's on me. |

Fish's raise was unusual... he had been open-limping a ton with some limp-reraises in there.

Re: 10/20 400+bb Deep with KK
This is the ONLY situation where I would go broke with 400BB. I would definitely reraise preflop vs UTG with these stacks to get more money in preflop vs a fish. However, your flatcall preflop then 4bet after the reraise looks like a complete squeeze with maybe a mid pair. I rele just couldn't fold here, especially shorthanded as this was played- it looked like a squeeze, then u resqueezed, then u got reresqueezed. I'd say this is the only spot where u can get it in for 400BB preflop and be ahead like... 70% of the time or so? Expect to see QQ and AK probably most of the time... results?

I can't see folding here.

I was going to say fold but with reads on SB it's very close....I really don't know but I guess I'd still fold

Re: 10/20 400+bb Deep with KK
Given that description, I think it's a push, although I can't say I'm really happy that deep.
It just sounds to me like SB doesn't have AA all that often, and you pick up almost $1,000 from him even if fish does have AA and villain folds. Is villain calling with QQ or AK? If so, that makes the push a lot easier. |

wow I don't even know, I just want to know the results. I have a feeling I couldn't lay this down, but it would depend a lot on the flow of the game at the time. what is sb's sn btw?

That's the only time we had gone to 4-bets. But that was with 100bb effective stacks. I am very sure that if I shove, villain will not call with AK or QQ. However, I dont think villain would 5-bet with those hands either this deep. |

Re: 10/20 400+bb Deep with KK
it looks like u want to isolate the donk with a mid pair so he could def be putting a play on you. i go broke here if he has aces. against a solid tight player obv folding is best this deep
