Ace -
I think you're better off value-betting and hoping he puts you on a missed hand, and maybe plays back at you. You're definately seeing monsters under the bed on this one. The likelihood of him having queens and not betting the turn is not good, so the only thing I would worry about it quad 8s. And if someone flops quads here, they're just gonna get paid. Make a value bet next time, and hope the villain takes a stab. |

I dont think he plays AA or KK this way ever, its just not the line a fairly agressive player would take [/ QUOTE ] you're wrong. [ QUOTE ] Only two reasonalbe hands i can see getting action from that i beat are aa and kk. [/ QUOTE ] AQ/KQ/sometimes 55? [ QUOTE ] can we perma ban anyone who cant beat the level they are at cause they are to busy making stupid comments [/ QUOTE ] you're out of line here especially since you were playing 100NL in early january. |

anything he calls you beat first off, idk what that even means since he doesnt have QQ cuz he would have 3 bet preflop so that obvious. He either missed a draw or has a strong queen
checking here is decent to let him bluff, you need to mix in the play and not do one of the other every time, i think i check here like 25% of the time, this isnt clear cut and if you do the same each time you are exploitable easier |

im certianly not joking, this guy isnt like 40/5/1 hes intelligent. I dont think he plays AA or KK this way ever, its just not the line a fairly agressive player would take, and because hes not stupid i dont see him caling me here with TT. Only two reasonalbe hands i can see getting action from that i beat are aa and kk. Id say the way the hand plays, QQ is certainly possible (he opened from button called a three bet checked behind on flop and flat called turn). I believe some checks hold as much value as a bet, now if he was a donk im for sure firing, but i think we have to adjust our line to profit us long term against good players as we attempt to move through limits.
