pretty gross trips
villain is browerkid. easily one of the best regulars
part of me tihnks this obviously looks like trips. but if i had a bigger kicker i might've jammed over on the turn. so, to him, my hand either looks like MAYBE weak trips, frequently an overpair, and sometimes a big combo draw that i didn't want to gamble nearly 2 buyins on. but even if he does put me on an overpair, would he try to bluff me off it with all draws bricking off? so i feel like i msut be beat, but at the asme time i think this might be one of those hands where i call and chalk it up to cooler if i lose. he could have a draw and he's aggressive Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $2/$4 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) Hero (SB): $1,081.70 BB: $720.50 UTG: $408.00 MP: $320.00 CO: $453.80 BTN: $411.00 Preflop: Hero is dealt 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 (6 Players) 4 folds, Hero raises to $16.00, BB calls $12.00 Flop: ($32) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets $22.00, BB raises to $80.00, Hero calls $58.00 Turn: ($192) 3 (2 Players) Hero checks, BB bets $150.00, Hero calls $150.00 River: ($492) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero checks, BB bets all-in for $474.50 |

Re: pretty gross trips
Def call. Your hand looks like a mid pair or J. I would have c/r the turn AI though. Also, I think I would have 3-bet the flop to 240 and obv call a shove.

[/ QUOTE ] pot is big, deny his probable draws, he might call with worse. but once you get to the river like this, it doesn't look like you'll call a shove that often. |

Re: pretty gross trips
Brower's good and will not have a draw here IMO with his river shove. This is one of the toughest hands I've ever seen posted because rarely people will fold trips, even very deep vs very aggro yet even solid regs. You only have to make a correct call here 1/2 the time btw to make it +EV. Ok but anyway, I just wouldn't say this is a bluff. Vs this solid of a guy, though I duno if I could do it, I think it's best to fold. If he thought you had a draw, he woulda checked it on the river to u. So he puts u on overpair or AJ for sure IMO, maybe weakish 9, in which case, he's playing his hand VERY fast on all streets and praying for a call. I would say he has J9 or K9s/A9s. I would say it is definitely best to fold here this deep, though this is RELE tough. I just know this guy is so solid and would check it on the end if he put u on a draw, so he knows u have a pretty good hand that has called down on two streets, and now a completely blank river comes and he shoves? Yea, I'd say he has to have a bigger hand here. Results?

Re: pretty gross trips
Would he push a hand like AA for value on the river here? Will he ever play AA like this preflop with these stacksizes?
