Turning Stone Casino info needed
How is this casino? I've only played at the Taj in Atlantic City, how do they compare? Any strange rules? Do they check ID's (It's 18+, just curious as for alcohol)? What's the play like? Lots of fish? What are the lowest games they spread?
Also, what's the rake? Thanks |

Re: Turning Stone Casino
Need a subject change on this one. I thought you were posting information, not asking for it.
Yes, they check ID's heavily because of the 18+ rule. No alcohol either. Poker play is like any other place that runs low limit holdem, soft and easy. |

Re: Turning Stone Casino
Just to clarify: By low limit hold'em, you mean the stakes are low - it's still No limit right? ($1/$2 maybe?)

Re: Turning Stone Casino
Last time I was there they had the following low limit games running:
2/4 limit 3/6 limit 5/10 limit 10/20 limit 3/6 PLO8 (runs sometimes, always funny to watch the dealers wait to be told who won the pot) 1/2nl (100 max buy in) 1/2nl (200 max buy in) 1/2nl (300 max buy in) 2/5nl (500 max buy in) They also run: 15/30 20/40 30/60 (rarely) 5/10nl ($20 bring in) (300 min buy in, no max buy in) During tournament times they also sometimes run: 50/100 limit 10/20 nl The quality of play is higher than in AC but most players are still really really bad. If you are going to be playing one of the 1/2 nl games you should play pretty tight and wait for your monsters. You will get paid off when you hit big hands even if you have been folding for the past hour. Usually there are 2-3 people who know how to play at each low limit game and 7-8 people who literally have no idea what is going on. The games are best before the school year and during natural academic breaks because they are a big draw to the upstate NY colleges. If you have any other questions feel free to ask here or shoot me a PM |

I was also wondering what the rake is at the $1/$2 nl games? |

Re: Turning Stone Casino
Do they still have some kind of fee to play? I remember something about a $2 fee to join a club? Is this still required to play?
