I'm playing in the $330 horse event at the venetian. I order a red bull. The waitress CARDS ME. Yep. Gotta have I.D. She insisted on seeing it too before she would take my order.
"Hello, my name is so-and-so. I'll be your waitress tonight, and I don't like getting tipped." Lucky for me I just turned 21 :-) Al |

Are you out? How was the structure? I was supposed to play, but forgot my seat cushion and played over 12 hours yesterday at Binion's (they had none). Horrible lower back pain this morning, so I skipped horse and came home instead.
Sucks getting old, lol Felicia |

You work in the casino industry. How could you possibly have a problem with that???
Do you not know how serious it is for EVERYONE who allows a minor to gamble? Some kids were playing blackjack somewhere in the 90's (I forget if it was Bally's or the Hilton, but I'm pretty sure it was one of those). They maxed out Dad's credit cards, and blew it all in a few hours. When Dad found out, he naturally raised a stink about the casino allowing minors to gamble. Gaming looked at the tapes, and assessed the casino a $50,000 fine for every employee who could've carded these kids, and didn't. Between the number of dealers who dealt to them, the number of floor people working in that pit, the number of employees working in surveillance, the number of cocktail waitresses who served them...it came out to about 30 violations, @ $50k per. Do the math. Gee whiz, she asked to see your license, and you showed it. The entire ordeal took less than 30 seconds (or would have, if you didn't make a big melodramatic production about it). Stop acting like it was the greatest inconvenience to which you've ever been subjected. Boy, being young is such a drag. Us 40-year-olds really feel bad for you. (I'd give everything I own, and 90% of what I will own in the future, for the rest of my life, to be in my early 20's again.) |

Dave is about 39 or 40. I think he was just joking around. Shocked, etc. Probably a little flattered, as well.

Youz slack-masters seem to have forgotten that my name is AL. (Wink wink).
This particular waitress is pretty much psycho-***** all the time. She's about as pleasant as a polar bear on baby seal beach. If she wanted my name and address, it was to stalk me no doubt. As for my age, I just turned 21 sir! **AL** |

And I would not card him for a red bull -- It reminds me of the time the cashier in the supermarket ID'ed me when bought a 6 pack of root beer. |

June 21st I will be 42. Last weekend at the Hardrock in Tampa, where it's legal to gamble at 18, I was carded.
I tipped the girl $5 and told her thank you! P |
