Re: Fish says: I beat your set!
Bet pot on the flop and turn. The pot would have been 138 on the river, with only 67 behind.

Re: Fish says: I beat your set!
this is likely not to be a flush.. normally they give up after you pot twice in position, SNAP call

Re: Fish says: I beat your set!
I agree with everyone else bet more on flop. your hand is very vulnerable against that type of player. you bet $10 on the flop to cut his odds for a draw an one of the draw comes up on the turn. Now you are facing a possible made straight and a flush draw! check behind on the turn. The fold will be easier on the river if he makes a large bet and a call will be easier if he makes a small bet to try to get paid. He plaid badly (exept if he has KJs...) but got there. to quote Slansky "don't justify his optimistic call".
This said, if you know he is calling very loose then put him all in on the flop while you are sure you are a favorite (even to KJs) and give him the tough decision, your hand is just to vulnerable. The way you played it I would fold and get to live an other day. |
