Confused on flop with AA, 1-2nl deep
Ok, background: Homegame at a friends place which is running fast and wild. 4 of 7 people in the game are pretty drunk, im sober.
Co which is a really bad player who overvalues his hands and plays a lot of rags limps in, so does button and sb(which is playing a solid TAG game). I raise to 14 with AA in the bb. CO calls, button folds, sb calls. Stack sizes: Me 1k, CO 500, SB 1.2k My table image was of a quite solid tag who could mix it up a bit and play some lag. Flop 237rainbow. As soon as the flop hits I can see CO squirming in his seat and looking really excited about the flop. SB bets 7 (wtf???), I raise too 50 and CO instaraises too 175 total. SB folds. I??? As the game was playing I really didnt want to play a 500bb+ pot with this villain with just one pair, I could easily felt him with a stronger hand, but isnt it very weak to fold that flop? |

Seriously??? Can nobody give me some insight into what I should do with this hand? I felt it was a really tough spot.
Did I post something wrong since nobody is trying to help me out? |

Re: Confused on flop with AA, 1-2nl deep
If you can trust your reads on CO - this should be a good fold. There's no chance you go to SD w/o putting in the remaining 300 bucks. And in this kind of game, i would raise more preflop being oop for the rest of the hand.

Re: Confused on flop with AA, 1-2nl deep
Well, I trust my read on CO, which is that he LOVES his hand, but his range is HUGE when it comes to what is a monster in his head. This could be anything from TPokK, overpairs to some funky two pair combos and of course sets.
I can also see that I should have raised more pf, 20ish maybe? |

Re: Confused on flop with AA, 1-2nl deep
Is the game really loose enough for him to call with 73,72? I could see 22, 33, 77. I dont know how he plays his sets but I would have thought he would slowplay his set, putting you on an overpair. I think you can discount 2 pair, unless he's really terrible limping in with 7-2. You're only really scared of a set so if you have a huge adrenaline tell on him then I say go with your instincts. Is he drunk btw? that could influence any hand analysis lol

Re: Confused on flop with AA, 1-2nl deep
you pay total jackasses in the spot you've described here. put it all in on the flop ahead. watch him show you 87. watch the 8 hit the turn. feel sick. go on donkey tilt.

Re: Confused on flop with AA, 1-2nl deep
if you have a tell that he just flopped a set its time to fold, if I were you I wouldn't even raise, just try and make it to showdown this deep

Re: Confused on flop with AA, 1-2nl deep
I don't think anyone is going to get super excited about A7 on that board. I fold as played. I probably wouldn't of raised flop, given read--what did you except to happen. I might try and c/call it down if I could keep the pot small.
