How do you feel about this...
 San Jose Muni. $26 Single rider of course ($26 for a regular power cart, 2 riders) Some quotes from the website... "At first I was a little nervous about getting on, but after about 5 minutes of training, I was able to maneuver safely and confidently on the Segway. It is a lot of fun. I never felt uncomfortable again." "We played quickly, no 90-degree rule. I cruised right up to my ball, stepped off the Segway, hit my shot and it was back on the fun machine." "When golf carts were restricted to the paths because of rain, I was able to take my Segway right to my ball. No more walking from the cart path with a hand full of clubs." "It was great. I could ride directly to my ball and quickly locate yardage markers. I didn’t have to walk around in circles trying to find a sprinkler head with the yardage on it. Much better than a regular cart. As discussed in other threads, one of the problems of carts is that they can slow down play when people drive to each others' balls and watch each other hit. This prevents that as you move to your ball. In the absence of a cart ban, this looks like it might work. This might be a decent solution to provide rides to the disabled. If somebody is disabled enough that walking is out, better a segway if they can manage it than a cart.

sorry fatshaft. golf cannot be played on foot anymore as much. many courses are squeezed into certain real estate areas which leave nearly quarter mile walks between some holes. the average walk between holes on my course is in the neighborhood of 75 yards. living in a resort area where a bunch of hackers come out on their vacations to get liquored up and play golf, it would be impossible for them to walk the course faster than they ride it. also with the heat/humidity we have here in the summer, no one would play because walking is out of the question.
