i think there's enough 2 pair combos that you need to just stick it in and hope for the best.

Re: $650 WSOP sat, turn buttom set, but unraised pot 53 rly?
sick sick spot, which is why this got like no responses. I'm still trying to decide if the fact that you limped utg makes it more likely for him to reraise 2 pairs instead of just calling them, or less likely. Also, given you have 2 2's and he checked flop 2pr is even more less likely. If there were 2 possible str8s I'd def fold, but I guess I just can't see getting away from this in game even though it seems like you're beat a helluva lot. ugh

I think he has jacks up a lot more than a straight here.

I think he has jacks up a lot more than a straight here. [/ QUOTE ] Isn't jacks-up (or really any top-pair Jx hand) betting on the flop given the multiple opponents + coordinated board/flush possibilities? I just can't see someone with 2-pair checking this flop given the potential danger. Then again, the $650 WSOP on Stars isn't a top-flight field, so I can consider that the villain ignored the texture of the flop here and gave away a free card trying to get tricky with 2 pair. So I really can't see myself folding in this spot. Still, I'd expect to see 53 turned over an awful lot here. If I had any kind of read that the villain was thoughtful and paying attention to things like the contour of the flop then I'd give more consideration to folding under the assumption he wouldn't slowplay two-pair or AJ/KJ/QJ/JT here; and unless he's a total donk, I can't see him sticking in a re-raise here with the naked Jack hands, meaning jacks-up is really the only hand we can put him on that we beat. |

I think folding is ok, but its really tough. I'm only not embarrassed to say it since I see you did fold
