30/60 Badugi
relative badugi newbee, but i've still got to be a monster favorite over the general pop. in the 20/40 & 30/60 BOT game that has been going at the bike on and off for the last 2 weeks.
3 handed. weak badugi players who don't understand the concept of drawing smooth. hero is BB w/ K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] button raises, SB calls, hero calls. SB draws 2, hero draws 2 (K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]), button draws 1. dealt to hero: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB checks, hero checks, button bets, SB calls, hero calls. SB draws 2, hero draws one (J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]), button draws one. dealt to hero: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB checks, hero checks, button checks. hero bricked the last draw and it got checked around. thoughts on all play welcome, but i'm most interested in the passivity of the A46 here. |

Re: 30/60 Badugi
Yeah you should probably checkraise after first draw and still draw one. If button draws one you can continue drawing or just go to snow mode if you know he'll fold unimproved. Against his range its probably more +EV to snow even though you have plenty of showdown value with A46.

Re: 30/60 Badugi
It seems to me your play is relatively standard here. A46 isn't strong enough to love as a 3 card hand at all here, although after it gets checked around twice the button has at best a weak 5 or a 6 like you do (or more likely a 7 or 8), so you should win this pot a decent amount of the time.
