Default This hand is filthy!

Err, rather, it's against filthy71.

My read on him is that he's a good TAG, he's been in line and aggro vs me, stats are like 21/17.

i would assume river is a thin value bet, trying to get value from AK?

um...who the hell are you guys who think river is a bluff? wtf? is the whole board on crack tonight? in any case, this hand rates high on the 'wtf' scale, but not so high on my 'sexy' scale since if you just bet the flop, bet the turn, and pushed the river you'd stack his AK much more easily. And this way when it works out you feel awesome and when he checks the flop, checks (or calls) the turn, and then checks (or folds) the river, you feel like a retard.

edit:i'd really like this line (or bet flop, chk turn, c/r river) if the board were 22995 or something, but don't love this line on the king high board). Too few hands he bets on the flop (no reason to bet AK for instance).

TWP, I would not feel stupid if he checked the river. I would be like "oh, so he did not have a hand he could stack off with.. and since I don't necessarily think him v capable of bluff-raising streets on a dry board, I'm happy that I did induce some bluff equity, make my hand look like something competely different, and not go to showdown"

OK, so the hand we are trying to get value from is a king. OP obv has a pair of some sort from flop action (Kx, JJ, QQ, 9x), so in order for filthy to think he is snapping off a bluff he has to think OP turned a lone pair into a bluff. AE's range looks like it has a ton of showdown value, and both player's know this, so why would AE turn his hand into a bluff? I GUESS Ae could do this with 9x, maybe JJ and QQ.

In summary, I think calling the river bet is better because there aren't enough hands that will pay off river c/r, and on the rare occasion that he does call the c/r, I think it will oftentimes beat AA
