Busted my bankroll. now what???

So frustrated. I suck at poker. Just don't know what my next plan is.

I had a great month in March +$38k (playing 10/15, to 100/200)

April & May -$60k (lost $42k in the 100/200 game)

So I'm now down -$22k for the past three months. I have $1,500 left. I can win $400 - $800 day playing short sessions.

But when I try and sit there and grind it out. Instead of winning 4 or 5 buyins (like I see other players), I do the opposite. I lose 4 or 5 buyins. Lost $11k yesterday just sitting playing for 8 hours.

If you're in my shoes, what would you do? Its apparant I have no discipline when I'm stuck or playing long sessions. I don't know how to play NL, so do I start over and play 5/10 and 10/20? Or run with my tail between my legs?

alternatively, take a break from poker and then move down to 3/6 to rebuild your roll. bankroll management yo, if you are a winning player you will build it back up.

I don't like playing huge grind sessione either. I find I stop playing my A game after a couple hours.

Firstly, take a week off and clear your head.

Secondly, you have 750BB for 1/2 or 375BB for 2/4. I would play the former until you have 500BB for 2/4, then move up. Drop back down to 1/2 if you ever get back to only 300BB for 2/4.

Stick to this 500BB rule and you will work your way up the limits pretty quick if you put the hands in. Don't stick to it... and, well, that's why you're in this mess right now [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I do appreciate everyone's comment. I just have to accept that I'm not very good at limit poker. I just know that I can't play well, when the sessions are long. Probably because I'm still adjusting to 6max.

It's tought for me to win more than 1 buyin at a table. but losing 3 or 4 buyins doesn't seem to be a problem.

So here's my plan. Please give me your opinions pros/cons. I don't care, lay it on me.

I've managed to double my bankroll to $3100 playing 5/10 and 10/20 last two days.

Playing super short sessions (less than 1.5 hours, sometimes just a few orbits, and take a break.

Don't rebuy if I lose my 1st buyin. Obviously, the players there are better than me, or my cards aren't hitting. And prevent me from going tilt

Don't multitable more than 2 or 3 at a time. I feel rushed when I'm playing 4 tables.

Your reasoning sounds a bit flawed, but I think the things you're gonna change is a start.

One tip I can offer is to max your table selection.

The qoute "if you don't see a fish at the table, it's you" is great.

you havent a Bankrollmanagment > that is why you will go broke...a 300BB Bankroll or even less is just suicide if you dont drop down once you hit 250BB for the next level...also your on a sort of life tilt when you think in Money...you have to think in BB and accept that you dont have the Bankroll to playing 100/200...accept you only have a Bankroll for 2/4 or whatever and then play this Game...

ask yourself what your goal is> obv you want to make money as much as you can as fast you can...if thats you goal then you also can go to a casino an bet 50K on red> you chances are propably better this Way.


I was broke in october 2006...i played up to 3/6 and tilted my bankroll off at nL 1K ...i rebuild up from 0.1/0.2$
