24 Season 6 season finale
Figured I'd start this thread early so people who stopped watching will have a chance to catch it. Also, it's a two hour episode, so it'll be starting an hour early tonight.

Both are dead. Gradenko cut off his own arm to remove a tracker, but apparently bled out/drowned by the ocean. Jack killed Fayed and found the two remaining suitcase nukes. But he received a phone call from Chang (the guy from the Chinese embassy in season 4 and the one who kidnapped Jack at the end of season 5). Chang said that Audrey was still alive and he had her. He would exchange Audrey for a chip on the nuclear device that somehow gives away a bunch of secrets of the Russian military. Jack had the stupidest plan in the history of plans to destroy the chip and rescue Audrey, but the plan failed and Chang escaped with the chip. Audrey turned out to have suffered some weird brain trauma and can't remember anything and can barely speak. The chip ended up being broken, so Chang needed to get someone to fix it. That someone is Jack's father, Philip Bauer. Philip would only fix the chip if he had Graem's son, who was at CTU. So Chang's men broke into CTU, killed Milo and kidnapped the boy. But CTU was immediately taken back by Doyle and his men. They ended up getting the boy back, but Chang escaped, still with the chip. Oh, and Bill Buchanon was fired by his wife and Chloe broke up with her ex-husband, Morris, because she made a "you help terrorists" joke. At the White House, turns out there is a mole, VP Daniel's assistant/lover is also sleeping with some guy who's a spy for the Russians. Daniels tried to plant false information with the spy, but the Russians weren't tricked. They are currently assembling troops by some unidentified US base and are prepared to attack the base if the US doesn't recover the chip from Chang. Neither Russia nor the US seems to have threatened China yet. |

Re: 24 Season 6 season finale
I forgot about the very end of the previous episode. Because Cheng didn't give the boy to Philip Bauer, Philip calls VP Daniels and offers the circuit board to him in exchange for the boy. Daniels agrees and Doyle has taken the boy (Josh) in a helicopter.
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24_%28season_6%29 for a more detailed overview of the season. |

Also, if you stopped watching 7 episodes ago, you might not know what happened to President Palmer. He collapsed during a press conference. VP Daniels is acting President now.

He then called Acting President Daniels and told them he'd give up the chip in exchange for Josh. Daniels agreed and had CTU take Josh into custody. |

Philip is now using the chip as leverage to get out of the country with Josh Bauer. |

Re: 24 Season 6 season finale
I'm fairly excited.
what are the odds Jack catches Chang? will Chang survive to be an uber-villian for next season? though I would like to see Jack kill him, I think 24 could use a bit more character continuity at this point. |
