What books do you have, maybe people here could tell you which ones are worth reading?

Re: stock newbie here needs help
It doesn't really matter that your books aren't newer than 2002. People, and thus markets, don't change much.
One of the best books I've read on the stockmarket is 'Reminiscences of a Stock Operator' and that was publishedin 1923. If you like the IBD method then I assume you've read the owner' (William O'Neill) excellent own book - 'How to Make Money in Stocks'? Also, if you've read 15 stock books, then continuing to read more will provide less of an education than putting what you've learned so far into practice and putting some of your own money on the line (unless you already have). |

Review the Reading List for some excellent suggestions on expanding your reading, as a Trader or Investor.
fwiw, I personally recommend IBD for anyone active in the market. |

Re: stock newbie here needs help
Mostly, I found the 20 rules for investing they listed on the back really hard to get over. For example:
3. Avoid cheap stocks. Buy higher quality stocks selling $15 a share and higher. 5. Cut every loss when it’s 8% below your cost. Make no exceptions so you can always avoid huge, damaging losses. Never average down in price. 19. Find out if the market currently favors big-cap or small-cap stocks. They had some good articles though. |

Re: stock newbie here needs help
I've never read any of those books you listed.
I liked The Intelligent Investor b Ben Graham w/ commentary by Jason Zweig. I also liked Beating the Street by Peter Lynch. Random Walk Down Wall Street was interesting as well. I'm currently reading The Dhando Investor by Mohnish Pabrai. |

Burn those books. Buy new ones. [/ QUOTE ] OP knows he wants new books. That was the point of his post. But why would you burn those books? |
