Pot odds question - I feel stupid even posting this
A famous poker blogger posted this in one of his recent threads. I feel stupid for even posting this but can anyone comment on it and just prove my sanity
"The pot was 3945 after his push, and I had to call 1245. The pot odds, therefore, was more than 3:1. This alone is not fantastic. It would require me getting about 32% odds on my hand." WTF?!?! Isn't it closer to 25% given that 3:1 means 1/4 |

Not enough details but I would guess "more than" = 7%

Re: Pot odds question - I feel stupid even posting this
You are correct. If there is $3,945 in the pot, and you have to put in $1,245 to call, you need only a 24% chance of winning to make it +EV. 32% is correct if there is $2,700 in the pot after his push, so there will be $3,945 if you call.
